Ametrine relates to a merging of the words Amethyst and Citrine, as this stone is alike both, and embodies the vibration of both of these quartz crystals. This crystal is usually transparent, and its color is an interesting mixture of the golden yellow color of Citrine blended with the lovely purple color of Amethyst Crystals.

Ametrine also has a trade name Bolivianite. Most jewelry stores call it ametrine but you’ll sometimes see it listed as Bolivianite. This is the preferred name in Bolivia and it’s frequently used on Bolivian tourism sites.

Its color, sometimes bluish green, is caused by iron oxides within the chemical makeup of the stone. Ancient seer considered it to be under the influence of the moon, an orb exerting very great magnetic influence. Nowadays some people believe it is better to use Aquamarine to view coming events when the moon is raising. As the magnetism of the moon on the included iron oxides will strengthen the stone's forecasting ability.

Sodalite



Sodalite is extremely rare as it is usually produced in massive igneous rocks, and it is also an important component of Lapis Lazuli. The two are easy to confuse, but the difference between Sodalite and Lapis Lazuli lies in the symbiosis of Sodalite with pyrite with almost no spots! The whole is blue, with different shades and low specific gravity, sometimes with the white texture of calcite.

Sodalite gets its name from the rich sodium content within the stone. It gained popularity as an ornamental stone in 1891 when deposits were found in Ontario, Canada. Because these deposits were discovered at the same time as a visit from the royal family, in Canada Sodalite is sometimes referred to as Princess Blue.

Strawberry Quartz



Strawberry Quartz is easily confused with Rose Quartz, and theses two forms do indeed have a lot of properties in common. However, Strawberry Quartz has a much darker pigment than Rose Quartz, caused by the inclusion of iron oxide and Goethide into its structure. This crystal is often sparkly, and when polished or tumbled, it shines with a deep red hue that is very attractive to most. 

The most common sources of Strawberry Quartz are Mexico and Africa. Much of the uses and meanings of strawberry quartz surround the promotion of positive feelings. This stone can bring a light to the darkness and purify any negative energies.
